This Edition's Topic
Data-Driven Communities
According to the UN, 68% of the world population is projected to live in urban areas by 2050. With ever-growing cities, new challenges arise, but population growth also opens the door for many fascinating solutions.

In the last edition, WDL focused on the
11th UN Sustainable Goal: Sustainable Cities and Communities. This year, we keep that core but enlarge our scope to embrace other challenges that highly condition our way to safer and happier communities. Our teams will have the opportunity to open new doors in subjects like climate, inequalities, and the environmental ecosystem.

Social ImpactUse data to solve challenges related to the UN SDGs and share your work with the world through open-source code.

LearningParticipate in technical workshops and round tables, exchange ideas, and learn from the best.

NetworkingGet to know companies, organizations, and fellow data scientists from all around the globe.

Open-Source magic
At World Data League, we believe in the power of the community - the entire world as a team. We see in shared knowledge the key to solving social impact issues.

For that reason, when the competition ends, we write a public report summarizing the best strategies, data used, and insights on every challenge. We believe this report and the open-source code will help other entities solve social impact challenges.
